FCC Cambodia Community
making a difference in cambodia
At the FCC, we believe in giving back to the community. We are proud to support the following organizations:
Cambodia Rugby
In January 2000, at the initiative of a small group of expatriate players, Khmer rugby was established with kids from an NGO, Pour un Sourire d'Enfant, "For A Child's Smile", caring for children living on the rubbish dumps of Phnom Penh.
The kids passion for the game led The Secrétaire-Générale of the National Commission for UNESCO, Mrs. Tan Theany, to propose that this be included in the 'Associated Schools Program' of UNESCO in Cambodia.
Since that time other shelters and schools have been established in various parts of Cambodia following the same model established in Phnom Penh and rugby has now become a institutionalized part of UNESCOs program activities in Cambodia.
