The idea, in a nutshell, is an early hours party, or a "before" party in Mediterranean club parlance — live deejays, fresh music and a trig venue. In a town where bars stay open till daybreak, DJ Marco's before party is the antithesis to the over-amped, all-night dance scene. The "7-Eleven" Party, as the name borrowed from the 24-hour convenience store implies, occupies the early hours. The music is ambient, not overpowering, and the whole evening works as a warm-up to the hours after midnight. The party starts at 7 p.m., and by 11:30 or so, the crowds have all filtered on to other venues.
Filipino singer-songwriter Juram Gavero and his band delight crowds with an energetic blend of smoky, soulful vocals and guitar-driven acoustic rock. The Filipino native plays mostly rock 'n' roll classics, but like every good musician, he and his band are well-versed in the standards of other genres as well. He is comfortable playing everything from Johnny Cash to Metallica. Shows start at 7 p.m. No cover.

If Edward Lear had penned music instead of poems, El Dealbreakers is exactly what it would sound like. This squeaking, honking, tub-thumping cacophony is as close to musical nonsense as you can get -- and it's indisputably brilliant. They call it rhythm and greens. Show starts at 8:30 p.m. No cover.

Classic blues rock.
"Celtic music means fun, lively, diversified music," says Kheltica's founder, Jean-Claude Dhuez. "But it's principally means sharing good time together." That sentence captures the spirit of Kheltica, who came together in 2009 for a St. Patrick's Day gig and, fueled by the show's surprising success, kept on playing. Show starts at 8:30 p.m. No cover.
