Construction is just entering the final stages at the newest Café Fresco location, a 2-story eatery on Street 53 opposite the Central Market. Expect all your favorite treats and cool, air-conditioned climes. Scheduled to open in September.
A Bigger, Better Rooftop
The FCC Phnom Penh has also seen some construction lately. The back area of the rooftop terrace has been significantly expanded to the south, making room for another half dozen or so tables and affording sunset views of the park and National Museum. Happy Hour prices remain the same.
Bad Neighbour Returns
Vietnam-based Latin-rock act Bad Neighbor returns to the FCC Phnom Penh for one night only Saturday August 16th. Veterans of the live music scene in Saigon, Bad Neighbour plays upbeat, Latin-influenced boogie from bands such as Santana and Shakira. Make plans.
The Quay Rooftop Goes Public
With all the preparations for a public unveiling now finalized, The Quay has opened its rooftop terrace to the public. Until now the space had been reserved for guests of the hotel only.
Quiet and comfortable, the rooftop at The Quay offers a Jacuzzi, relaxed seating, a wine and champagne bar, and great views of the river. Six stories up, the rooftop gets strong river breezes, and it's high enough that street-level noise is little more than a distant hum.
