December at The FCC
ON TAP: A party with live music and a DJ at The Mansion, CamboFest, and live flamenco music highlight a party-packed December calendar.

The Mansion at 32 Sotheros

December 20

The FCC is throwing a party in the mansion at 32 Sotheros with live music and a DJ.

Phnom Penh's favorite Latin Rock will play first. If you haven't seen Bad Neighbour live, they play very groovable, infinitely danceable Latin rock that is just about impossible not to dance to. DJ Filipe will take over when the band is through. Thirty-two Sotheros — the old, yellow mansion across from the National Museum — should make for an incredible venue, with plenty of spaces to explore. It will still be in its neglected state for the party. Starts at 9 p.m. and goes until late.

Pacharan

December 24 & 25

Pacharan will celebrate Christmas in Spanish style. The meal starts with a glass of bubbling cava, followed with a 4-course menu including fresh scallops, crab with Iberian ham, grilled seafood, turkey stuffed with chorizo, pineapple and saffron ice cream, and more, all accompanied by a flight of Spanish wines. $45 per person. Served for dinner on Christmas Eve, and lunch and dinner on Christmas Day. For reservations and details call 023 224 394.

New Year's Eve

Celebrate New Years at Pacharan with a 4-course menu including salmon carpaccio, scallops and serano ham, wagyu rib-eye stuffed with oysters, and other Spanish delicacies. $45 per person includes a glass of bubbling cava and matching wine flight. For reservations and details call 023 224 394.

Café Fresco Central Market

Café Fresco Central Market opened its doors November 24. All the same great food, pastries and coffee right in the center of town. All locations will offer special holiday cakes and pastries and many items that can be pre-ordered and delivered to your house in time for Christmas. Pick up an order sheet at any location.

Sexy Salsa Sundays

Learn to dance the salsa every Sunday on the FCC Phnom Penh rooftop. Starts at 5:30.

Chow/Quay

Christmas & New Years

For Christmas Chow is serving up an exquisitely crafted 5-course degustation with matching wine flight. The five wines come hand-picked by Chow's resident bon vivant Patrick Uong. Each wine has been chosen for its complimentary flavors to the food.

  • Steamed pork & scallop rolls with kim chi salad
  • Steamed soft shell crab with caramel black bean dressing
  • Jasmine tea smoked turkey breast with soba & orange salad
  • Honeyed duck tataki with crisp rice dumplings
  • Green tea chiboust mousse with ginger chocolate

Dinner is $25 per person, or $35 with the wine flight. Served from December 21 to 31.

New Years

For New Year's Eve Chow will retreat to the rooftop for a midnight cocktail party with canapés. No cover.
